TGR-WRT Targets Fourth Straight ARA Victory at Ojibwe

TOYOTA GAZOO Racing World Rally Team (TGR-WRT) heads to Ojibwe Forests Rally (August 28–29) for the fifth event of its inaugural American Rally Association (ARA) National Championship campaign, with Seth Quintero and co-driver Topi Luhtinen arriving on the back of consecutive victories in the GR Corolla Rally RC2.

TGR-WRT arrives in Minnesota having won each of the last three ARA events it has contested. Jari-Matti Latvala and Tuukka Shemeikka began the run with victory at Olympus Rally before Quintero and Luhtinen followed with wins at the Southern Ohio Forest Rally and Rally Colorado.

Four events into his stage-rally career, Quintero has rapidly adapted to the demands of ARA competition and is now running consistently at the front of the field. Ojibwe will be another new event for the American, with its high-speed roads placing a different emphasis on commitment and precision as he and Luhtinen look to continue their recent form.

After the rough, rocky and heavily rutted stages of Rally Colorado, Ojibwe presents a very different challenge for the crew and the GR Corolla Rally RC2. The northern Minnesota event features fast, flowing gravel roads with a sandy base, blind crests, sweeping corners, jumps, elevation changes and narrow tree-lined sections. Conditions often change with the weather and repeated passes, placing a premium on high-speed commitment, accurate pace notes, and adaptability at speed.

For 2026, Ojibwe features 125.30 competitive miles across 16 stages and two days of competition. Friday includes repeated forest stages before concluding with a pair of evening runs at Soo Pass Ranch, while Saturday features another full day of competition, with the second running of Otterkill serving as the Power Stage before the rally concludes with two spectator stages at Sanford Center in Bemidji.

Ojibwe also carries significant championship implications for Quintero and Luhtinen, who enter the event second in the ARA National Championship standings and just two points behind leader Lia Block. A strong result in Minnesota could move the crew into the championship lead for the first time.
